I snagged a 1992 240sx SE Coupe with an auto trans that had been sitting for 3 years in a dude's backyard for $300. Dude said a cow had hit it. It took me and Mike 3 days to get it running, most of that was waiting. WD-40 down in the cylinders, cleaned off the spark plugs, replaced the fuel pump, fixed the battery cable and got a used battery. She (or he? haven't decided) fired right up. Burns oil like crazy though.
It's about this time, I begin to get extremely broke and have no extra money whatsoever... so it sits. Til I move. A year or so later.
I moved into an apartment, and didn't have room for it, so Joe, or Joe's dad rather, let me move it behind his house for a bit - they had a multi-car port out back. We pulled the engine/trans there to prepare for the rebuild of everything. That didn't pan out quickly enough... Joe's dad had to move, so did the cars.
JR (Francisco) let me stash it in his back yard, along with a donor car I had acquired shortly after moving (WTF was I thinking?) The donor car was supposed to be the one with a straight body and we'd just swap everything over. We stripped it down and found out the frame was twisted... so we cut off the quarter panel I needed and scrapped the rest. (I still have a ton of extra s13 parts.)
I moved to a different part of town and now I have a car port, so we move all my 240 shiz over here and it's sat and been VERY slowly broken down even further. We stripped the engine bay clean and painted it:
At this point, I realized I wanted to go further with it than I initially planned. Now it's on.
