Purpose: To get to those pesky seams inside the car so you can stitch weld them. Also drops a rumored 20-50 lbs.
Bit of warning though, I hear this makes the interior super loud... I dunno yet, not sure if I care, this is probably gonna be a track car 95% of the time. If anything I could toss in some dyna-mat if it shakes so it makes me cry.
You will need:
A scraper. (This is just for prying up the edges.)
A dead blow or plastic hammer (so you don't scratch/dent the shit out of everything)
and some dry ice.
Step 1:
Put the dry ice on a spot of sound deadening. Let sit for 5-10 min. You'll hear it cracking and popping.
Step 2:
Smack it with a hammer. It should shatter or you can pry up the side and break off huge chunks. Watch the hammer on creases or folds, I did manage to leave a few tiny dents on radius bends.
Step 3:
Rinse, repeat for the whole car.
