wheel lug key! Empty wheel lug key!

    Post by VR6>VTEC Sat Nov 05, 2011 11:18 pm

Alright guys... here's my story and I'm sticking to it. Last night coming down lake shore by mlk I had a front left blow out. Popped the spare on easily but the air was really low on it. Thought I might creep home going 10mph. It blew out as well.... somewhere in between I lost my lug key. I know its a common lug key one of y'all has to have it. I can get the wheels off with a socket but the lug bolts lock up inside the socket. I just need it for a couple hours while I swap one of my front wheels out. I'm ordering a new one asap but I need to swap this tire out like yesterday...

Moral of the story is don't daily drive high performance tires.
I don't.. my old lady dailies it while the Audi is down.

    Its a gorilla 6 spline 17mm
I would love to borrow it Sunday. I can come pick it up and drop it off.

Its somewhere on lake shore in between mlk and the church if your coming from bellmead. Lol...I guess I left it on the lug bolt....

Before anyone says anything about lug bolts... its a German car it doesn't have lug nuts.

I have gorilla locks on my car, not sure if you still need it or not. I'm not sure if we are talking about the same gorilla pattern but mine are 6 or so splined I believe.

Yes exactly. 6 spline. You should be able to put a 17mm hex socket on the end of the lug key. Also on the lug nut. I was able to impact them on and I ordered the lug key. It seems snug

Oh ok, I would've helped you yesterday if I saw this, but I was working all day.
